Welcome! Each day during the month of October I am writing on the topic of discovering true beauty. Please join in with me on this journey. Also, please feel free to share these posts during the month of October with family and friends on the many social media outlets. I appreciate you taking the time to do so.
I recently came across a writer who writes primarily about balancing beauty and bedlam. I had never heard of the term bedlam so I had to look it up. Bedlam is defined as a scene of uproar and confusion. It is an archaic term and perhaps that is why I had never heard of it before. I was intrigued though by the concept of being able to balance beauty in the midst of chaos and confusion. I mean, who truly knows how to accomplish that? This has to be another one of those discovering true beauty moments. So I decided to read further.
The more I read Jennifer Schmidt’s blog Balancing Beauty & Bedlam the more I began to discover that true beauty is not tucked away in the confines of a perfect and peaceful setting. True beauty is often seen and discovered in a setting where love is loud, practical and authentic. The little things are truly the bigger things and living on less is really more meaningful in this life.
Beauty In Balance
Many of us naively believe that being beautiful inside and out is expensive. Expensive in terms of our time and resources. I’m learning that this is just not the case. Finding beauty in balance is key. Using our resources wisely is where true beauty is discovered. Learning to make things work on less is necessary and time is essential, so becoming really good at managing our time well, allows for us to be good stewards with the time, talents and gifts that we have been given by our Creator.
I wish that I would have learned this concept long ago. I guess with age, comes wisdom. Glad to be discovering the beauty in balance and the balance of true beauty now when I can truly appreciate it, rather than when I was younger and had no clue what beauty, balance and bedlam really meant or entailed. There is beauty in getting older and wiser. You begin to master the art of balance.
